The inaugural 2025 Winter Junior Carnival will take place at Hume City Softball Association, 18 Rhyolite Drive, Craigieburn, on Saturday 19 July.  
 

School Junior T-Ballers and Softballers from across Victoria are invited to join us

  • We are aiming to run a Super 7 T-Ball competition for the new younger players (U9) and the Softball competition with modified rules for the older U12 players during the July School holidays. The whole day is centred around FUN, COMMUNITY & PARTICIPATION
  • T-Ball is 7 a side, Softball is 9 a side
  • The Winter Junior Softball Carnival also provides opportunities for Coach, Umpire and Scorer development. To take advantage of this, we ask teams to bring along an experienced coach, umpire and scorer to assist and mentor your inexperienced / beginner coach, umpire & scorer
  • Activities & prize giveaways throughout the day
  • Register your whole team or, if you’re an individual looking to play we can find you a team to join, just email Tim Hatzi, tim.hatzi@softball.org.au with your name, Date of Birth, contact details, address, playing level and we will place you in a team
  • Register your whole team(s) via the register button at the top of the page
  • Players must have paid registration to their club or registered with Softball Victoria (A Play Well School Softball Program registration is the minimum requirement for Players who will be playing in a school team on the day. If you registered and participated in a recent Play Well After School Softball Program at your school, and you will like to play in the Winter Junior Carnival, you do not have to complete the registration below, simply email Tim Hatzi, tim.hatzi@softball.org.au with your name, school, date of birth, contact details and address and your spot on the team for the day will be secured. If your school team does not have enough players available/interested for the Winter Junior Carnival, we will notify you and you will have the option of being placed in one of the club teams participating on the day.

Team Entries close Friday 27 June at 5pm.

Team entry fee for school teams is FREE!  Register your team, vis the REgister button at the top of the page.

Conditions of Team Entry

  • Teams require a minimum of 7 players to enter
  • Any individuals who register will be matched with a team that has low numbers
  • Teams, bring an experienced coach, scorer and umpire AND, one who is learning the game and will use this event to develop their Softball skills and knowledge
  • Teams must be in uniform (a school sports uniform for school teams is perfect) 
  • Players must have paid registration to their club or registered with Softball Victoria (A Play Well After School Softball Program registration is the minimum requirement)
  • Teams are NOT required to bring match balls - these will be provided

Once team registrations close, Team Managers will be asked to submit your team lists, including coaches, umpires and scorers by Friday 11 July.
