The 6 week program is being run by experienced coaches and state representative players.

The program is tailored to beginner to intermediate skilled players from 7 to 15 years of age, with the aim being to provide junior players with the opportunity to:

• Develop fundamental skills and game sense leading into the 2026/27 Summer season 

Experience the different elements of Softball including batting, fielding, pitching, catching, base running

• Meet lots of new friends and have loads of fun!

This event is open to everyone, participants just need to register for this event, whether you are an existing Softball member or new to the sport. 

You'll receive a Participant Pack with a drawstring bag, Victorian Junior Softball Academy T-SHIRT & CAP and a drink bottle.

Numbers will be capped at 30 participants per venue, with places expected to be filled quickly.

Sessions run for 2 hours, with plenty of breaks and allowances for all age groups. 

DATES: 6 weeks, from July 24 through to August 29, 2026. See specific dates/times below, per venue.

HOST VENUE, DAY & TIME: 

Albury Comets Softball Club: Black Range Park Sports Ground, Kothoff Street and Mutsch Street, Lavington: 8.30am - 10.30am (Starting Saturday 25 July - Saturday 29 August)

Keilor Park Softball Association: 81 Stadium Drive, Keilor Park: 2pm - 4pm (Starting Saturday 25 July - Saturday 29 August)

Waverley Softball Association: Corner Jells and Waverley Rd, Wheelers Hill 5.30pm - 7.30pm (Starting Friday 24 July - Friday 28 August)

WHAT TO BRING: Bring all of your Softball gear - if you don't have any, don't worry, the host association can provide it. Also bring water bottles and a snack for after the session. 

WHAT TO WEAR: Your Softball gear! Please wear cleats (if you have them) & hats. If you don't have a softball uniform you don't need to purchase anything, simply wear comfortable sporty clothes.
