Softball Victoria recognises the enormous contribution made by volunteers across the state

To put it simply, Softball couldn't operate without the knowledge and expertise provided by our vibrant community of volunteers who ensure Softball clubs and associations function effeciently.

There are many opportunities to get invovled:

  • Volunteer as much or as little time as suits you

  • Use your existing knowledge and experience and learn new skills (great for your Resume!) 

  • A great way to meet new friends and network

  • Be supported by others who know the ropes 

  • Feel a sense of pride and satisfaction in helping to provide people with the opportunity to play our fantastic sport

Training and accreditations are available for these roles* and many resources and support is offered for all volunteer roles in the softball community.

  • Junior Recruitment Strategy - currently being updated
  • Child Safe Standards - The new Child Safe Standards came into force in Victoria on 1 July 2022. Softball Victoria is committed to ensuring these standards are upheld in our our community. All clubs and associations are expected to be familiar with, and implement these standards. 
  • Sample Club Information Booklet - currently being updated
  • Working with Children Check (WWCC) - All Softball club and association volunteers require a WWCC. There may be circumstancees where you are exempt (e.g. Victorian teachers or Police Officers). Please head to the link to find out more and apply (free for volunteers).

  • ASC Volunteer Resource Hub - A one-stop-shop, designed to bring together useful resources, tools and practical tips and tricks in one place. These resources will assist you to attract, retain and celebrate volunteers at the heart of your club and community sport more broadly.
