The Victorian Softball Masters Championships is held on the King's Birthday long Weekend each year.

2025 to 2027 will see the event hosted by the Greater City of Shepparton at Mooroopna Recreation Reserve. 

The Victorian Softball Masters Championships is a premier community sporting event that brings together athletes, officials, volunteers and supporters from across Victoria and interstate, creating a vibrant and inclusive environment that celebrates lifelong participation in sport.

Beyond the competition itself, the Championships deliver significant benefits to the local community through tourism, accommodation, hospitality and local business engagement across the King’s Birthday long weekend. The event also plays an important role in promoting active and healthy lifestyles, social connection, volunteering and community pride.

The ongoing partnership between Softball Victoria and the Greater City of Shepparton highlights the region’s strong commitment to community sport and reinforces Shepparton’s reputation as a leading destination for major regional sporting events.

Team registration:

All teams are required to provide an umpire that is capable of performing plates and bases in the grade in which your team is playing. Umpires must be registered with Softball Victoria and cannot be playing in the tournament.

To be eligible to play for a team you must be a registered SENIOR MEMBER or MASTERS MEMBER of a Victorian Club, Association or directly to Softball Victoria.  Members who hold any other class of membership (eg. casual, official, off-diamond, non-victorian etc) will be required to upgrade their memberships to one of these classes.

Coaches, team manager and scorer need to have the appropriate class of membership (coach or off-diamond)
