Play Softball
summer softball starts soon!!
Softball is a sport that can be enjoyed by everyone, starting as young as 3 years old...
Home Run Heroes (aged 3-7) Participants play informal modified T-Ball and Softball games in a fun and friendly setting. The sessions run for 1 hour over 6 - 8 weeks – with the emphasis being on teamwork and game play.
Junior T-Ball (aged 6-9) introduces participants to a slightly more structured on-diamond game of T-Ball where they'll develop new skills and have loads of fun, with many opportunities for success.
Modified Softball is for graduates of the T-Ball program, and is recommended for 8-11 year olds. It is part of the local association competitions where children play organised games as part of a club team.
Junior Softball – your child will now transition to teams within your club and association with many competitions running from U12 to U19 across Victoria. They are now part of the pathway to a lifelong love of softball, making new friends and keeping active.
Junior Softballers are provided with many other opportunities throughout the year such as the Softball Victoria's School Holiday Softball Program or Junior Development Program - for juniors who would like to work on their skills during the off-season.
Senior Softball - 15 softball associations operate across Victoria where young and old can have fun, forge new friendships and take the game to whatever level you aspire to.
High Performance - Junior and Senior Softballers have multiple opportunities to try out to represent at Association, State or National level.
- State Championships (represent your Association in the U14, U16, U18 or Open age groups)
- National Championships (represent your State in the U14, U16, U18, U23 or Open age groups)
- TeamVic (Represent your state as part of the School Sport Victoria program in the 12 U or 18U age group)
