Throughout his playing career, Bryce was recognised for his strong work ethic, versatility on the field, and ability to perform under pressure. These qualities distinguished him as one of Victoria’s premier softball players. His commitment to excellence, both in preparation and performance, set a standard for others to follow and earned him respect from teammates, coaches, and opponents alike.

Bryan’s journey in softball began at the Keilor Park and District Softball Association, where his passion for the game took hold. His talent and commitment quickly became evident, laying the foundation for a remarkable career that has spanned more than three decades. His long-standing involvement in Victorian representation is a testament to his exceptional impact and enduring legacy in the sport.

NATHAN GILL – HALL OF FAME

Softball Victoria is proud to share the achievements of our three newest Hall of Fame Inductees, who were given this honor at the recent Awards Presentation for 2024 Recipients. It is with great pride that Nathan Gill is inducted into the Softball Victoria Hall of Fame. Nathan has had an exceptional career as both a player and coach, and his unwavering commitment to the sport of softball in Victoria makes him a highly deserving candidate for this prestigious honour.

Junior West Softball League announced as finalist for 2024 Victorian Sport Awards

For several years, the Werribee Softball Association and Geelong Softball Association have been without a Junior Competition due to not having the numbers to form enough junior teams for their own competition. The past two seasons, two teams from Werribee; the Hawks and Padres played each other each week, and the thirst for greater competition grew.

Amendments to State Championships for 2024/25

A letter to our community in response questions regarding the 2024/25 format for our Victorian State Championships. To ensure that all members are on the same page, we have answered some concerns and provided new information relating to the State Championships Regulations for this period.

TEAM ENTRIES OPEN FOR 2025 STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS

Softball Victoria are pleased to announce registrations are open for State Championships. Two State Championships will run in 2025. OPEN STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS are taking place as planned in April, but we will aim to start the tournament with an opening game on Friday night and include a night game on Saturday & a JUNIOR STATE CHAMPIONSHIP tournament for players aged 15 & under will also be held on the same weekend at the same venue.

KEILOR PARK SWINGS BIG TO GET SEASON OFF TO A FLYING START

With the 2024/2025 Summer Softball Season fast approaching, Keilor Park & Districts Softball Association have taken huge steps to ensure the season will be a successful one. From implementing junior recruitment and development initiatives to providing a coach mentoring program to up skill new and existing coaches, the association have many bases covered!

Softball Victoria is pleased to advise that nominations for the 2024 Victorian Softball Awards are now open. These awards are an opportunity recognise the significant contributors within the Victorian softball community, with nine awards on offer including Life Membership, Hall of Fame, and the Merle Short Service awards. If you know anyone who has made a significant contribution around your softball club or association, then please view the full criteria and access the nomination form.

Open State Championships 2024

2024 saw an impressive turnout at the Open State Championships with 19 teams competing for either a Cup or Plate prize!
