What excites you about playing for Black Storm this season?

I have been a part of the Black Storm since the PEC started, and this year the team has changed up a little bit – it’s incredibly exciting to see some new faces on the list.

What is your advice to aspiring female softballers?

My advice is to just get out there and do it. I truly believe that you’re the one and only person able to hold yourself back or propel yourself forward, and I know which one I’d rather be doing. So just get out there and have some fun, try some new things, and don’t be scared to make an error.

My favourite thing about softball is… ?

My favourite thing about softball is the fact that no matter what, there is always something new to learn, always somewhere in your game that you can tweak, and it’s exciting to me because the game is constantly evolving – and us with it.

Outside of softball I enjoy… ?

I enjoy reading and art exhibitions, along with pretty much anything outdoors.

Favourite holiday destination?

My favourite holiday destination would have to be Wilson’s Promontory.

What music do you listen to before a game?

Anything that gets me pumped and passionate.

My most memorable softball moment is?

This one year in a nationals campaign, me and my short stop, Rebecca Shafer, had been practising double plays until our feet were so swollen. And when we went away to Nationals, we were able to successfully execute double plays here, there, and everywhere. It was one of the most incredible feelings.

Favourite post game treat?

A nectarine and a cup of tea.

The biggest influence on my softball journey is?

My mum, she’s such an incredible person, always pushing me when I need to be pushed, and has continued to support me throughout my softball journey.

What’s most exciting about playing Peta Edebone Cup softball?

The most exciting thing about playing the PEC has got to be getting out there with the whole softball community, trying a new game format, and continuing to hopefully inspire the younger girls to keep pushing, and keep playing for the love of the sport.
