Softball Victoria (SV) is delighted to introduce Adam Woolnough and Liza Newnham as new appointments to the 2020 Board of Directors.

Adam has a long association with sport at both community and professional level, following a nine-year professional career in the National Rugby League (NRL).

Post playing career, Adam worked at the Queensland Academy of Sport engaging with elite athletes in their ‘off-field’ pursuits, such as career transition, wellbeing, community and personal development.

Adam has a strong coaching background at various levels, and currently works at the AIS as the Engagement Manager. His diverse experience in the industry makes him a welcome addition to our Board.

Liza is a seasoned strategic commercial executive experienced in leading and driving business growth and commercial outcomes for media, sports and content organisations worldwide.

With a wide range of experience working across all critical business areas in media and sports, including roles at Cricket Australia, 21^st Century Fox and Foxtel, Liza has a strong understanding of the business of sport.

Passionate about the power of sport to influence and lead change, Liza strives to raise the profile of women’s sports and the impact of environmental sustainability at venues where we play.

Involved with softball throughout school and university, Liza is excited to reconnect with the sport to help keep it relevant to the next generation of school kids and grassroots participants.
