Term 1 2023 School Sport Update

Published Thu 06 Apr 2023

That's a wrap for Term 1 2023. Congratulations to the school teams who've competed and had loads of fun at their School Sport Victoria interschool Softball and T-Ball competitions.

Our Softball Vic participation team have been out and about visiting schools & running training sessions to help students and teachers learn the rules, strategy and hone their skills ready to take the diamond against their neighbouring schools.

We also attended the interschool sport days for Monash, Bayside, Beachside, Whitehorse, Montrose, Bayswater, Mt Eliza, Frankston, Knox, Murdoch, Oakleigh, Boroondara, Syndal, Truganina, & Aberdeen Districts (to name a few) and loved the excitement and enthusiasm displayed by everyone!

Good luck to the schools who now go on to the next level, with the ultimate goal of making it to the State championships!

Thanks to the teachers, parents, umpires, coordinators and convenors who do a great job of making sure kid across the state have a great time playing Softball at school.

Also thank you to the teachers who attended the online information session for Fully Loaded Slow Pitch Softball. There will be more coming in future so stay tuned.

The group photo features Kunyung Primary School who trained for 6 weeks leading up to their Lightning Premiership and it clearly paid off as their Boys/Mixed team won the Mt Eliza District comp and head to the Division playoffs. We absolutely love seeing this kind of dedication, well done Kunyung!

We hope everyone enjoys a well-earned rest over the holidays and we'll see you at school in Term 2, where T-Ball features as the Winter sport played by most Districts!
