2026 VICTORIAN SOFTBALL AWARDS

Softball Victoria is extremely pleased to announce that nominations are now open for our annual volunteer awards, recognising the incredible contribution made by volunteers across our clubs and associations. Our volunteers are the heart of our sport. From coaches, officials and administrators to scorers, canteen volunteers, grounds staff and committee members, these dedicated individuals give countless hours to create opportunities for players of all ages to enjoy softball.

The transition from the One Softball model to a federated structure has been finalised as of 1 April, representing a key milestone for softball in Victoria. The new framework strengthens governance, enhances stakeholder engagement, and supports the long-term sustainability of the sport, ensuring improved alignment from grassroots through to high performance.

In Term 2, Softball Australia successfully launched the Play Well After School Softball Program in selected metropolitan schools in Victoria, aiming to introduce T-ball and softball to children facing barriers to sport participation.

NATHAN GILL – HALL OF FAME

Nathan has had an exceptional career as both a player and coach, and his unwavering commitment to the sport of softball in Victoria makes him a highly deserving candidate for this prestigious honour.
